In an attempt to keep all students in Gladewater ISD safe and routes efficient, a new policy has been implemented regarding student transportation. Effective immediately, any student that has not been an active rider and requests bus service will have a mandatory three (3) day waiting period. Additionally, any student who is moving within the district will have to provide proof of residency before the bus change will be approved. Campuses will NOT fill out a Transportation form until this is done. Once approved, there will be a mandatory three (3) day waiting period. Campuses will submit a transportation form on behalf of the parent, and the Transportation Department will supply the campuses with a start date, as well as a bus number. Parents are welcome to call the Transportation Department with questions regarding the bus stop and times.
