DIRECTOR - HUNTER HOPKINS
We are excited to welcome Hunter Hopkins to Gladewater ISD as our new Transportation Director. Mr. Hopkins has previously worked in Pine Tree and Grand Prairie ISD in their transportation departments. Mr. Hopkins stated “As the Director of Transportation for Gladewater ISD, my top priority is the safety of the students, and my team. I look forward to building a welcoming culture here at GISD Transportation, and providing the students of GISD with the safest and most efficient transportation. Go Bears!”
Mission Statement
The main priority of the Gladewater ISD Transportation Department is the safety of the children we transport. Every child on a GISD bus deserves to feel safe and secure and our drivers work daily to see that this is accomplished. Each driver goes thru a rigorous training process, is required to complete a 20-hour Bus Driver Safety Course and is CPR certified.
