Welcome to the Gladewater Independent School District Tax Office. The Tax Office is dedicated to providing quick and efficient service to the taxpayers of the district.  Thank you for supporting our children.

For questions regarding your tax statement, please contact Trecia Turner, Tax Assessor/Collector, by email or by phone 903-845-2436. The office is located in Gladewater at 167 North Mill Street.  Office hours are 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00 Tuesday through Friday.  The Tax Office follows the GISD calendar.

 

Gladewater ISD Tax Resources

  • Tax statements are mailed at the beginning of October or soon as possible after. If you have an escrow with your lender, the lender should request the tax statement for payment. All other statements are sent to the property owner. If you would like a copy of your tax statement, you may print one off our website: texaspayments.com

    You may also call our office and we can mail, email or fax a tax statement to you. If you receive a tax statement and you have an escrow with your lender, please contact your lender directly

    Tax statements cover taxes from January 1 through December 31. If paid in October there is a 3% discount, November 2% discount, December 1% discount. Payment is due to the Gladewater ISD Tax Office no later than January 31. A postmark of the last days of the month will be acceptable only with a post office cancellation mark. Payments postmarked February 1 or later will be assessed penalty and interest

    Partial payments are always accepted, however discounts will be forfeited according to section 31.07 of the Texas Property Tax Code

    EXEMPTIONS 

    All applications for exemptions may be obtained from the County Appraisal District that your property resides in. Various exemptions are available such as homestead, disability, disabled veterans and over 65. The phone numbers for each Appraisal District are as follows

    Gregg County Appraisal District: (903)238-8823

  • ELECTRONIC DELIVERY OF COMMUNICATION

    A property owner or their authorized representative may request electronic communications from the Gladewater ISD Tax Office under Tax Code 1.085(a-1) by using Comptroller Form 50-843. The completed form must be filed with the Gladewater ISD Tax Office. Do not file this document with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

    Important:

    - Delivery confirmation: All e-statements are considered delivered upon being emailed by the Tax Office.

    - Updating information: Property owners are responsible to notify the Tax Office of any changes by April 1st of every year. A new form 50-843 will be required.

    - Unsubscribe: In order to unsubscribe, a written request is required by the property owner. Please send it via email, mail, or present it at the addresses provided above.
