Watch D.O.G.S.

  • WATCH D.O.G.S. is a national organization that started in 1998 and it is used by over 6,000 schools nationwide. D.O.G.S. stands for Dads Of Great Students. Each school year, fathers and father figures are invited to volunteer at GPS. Among many things, Watch D.O.G.S. visit classrooms, help monitor during recess, eat lunch with students, and listen to students read. It is a great opportunity to have a positive impact.

Weldon PTO

  • The PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is a group that fund raises and supports the activities and initiatives of Weldon students and teachers.  The Weldon PTO typically meets on Mondays throughout the year to plan activities or support for the school.  Please look for notes or social media posts announcing PTO meetings and ways you can help.  You do not need to be a member as the group is open to staff, guardians, grandparents, or anyone else interested in supporting our school.  Join us at our next meeting so you can be involved!

  • Please remember that all volunteer opportunities will require a filled out volunteer packet and background check in order to be approved.
