STAAR Online English1 EOC - Makeup Test
Due to technical difficulties on Tuesday, April 6th, students who were scheduled to take the English 1 online EOC could not complete the test.  GHS has rescheduled the test on Tuesday, April 20th.  Please make sure your child is here for testing.

2021 STAAR EOC Tests

All five STAAR EOC assessments REQUIRED for graduation—Algebra I, English I, English II, Biology, and U.S. History—are administered at the end of the first semester (fall), at the end of the second semester (spring), and in the summer, giving students three testing opportunities each year. The number of testing opportunities students have prior to high school graduation is dependent on when students take the corresponding course. For example, most students take biology during their freshman year. That means students have ten testing opportunities before they are scheduled to graduate. In contrast, most students take U.S. history during their junior year, giving them four testing opportunities prior to high school graduation. Students who do not pass one or more of the required assessments before their scheduled graduation may continue to test during any administration.

If a student (remote or on campus) does not take a STAAR EOC test this school year, the student will be required to take the test during the next testing opportunity.  Please realize if a student is enrolled in Algebra 1 but does not test this year, he/she will be required to test the next testing opportunity even though he/she is not enrolled in the course.
