My name is Rhett Pilcher. I am the Director of Middle School Bands at Gladewater Middle School. I'm a native of East Texas having grown up in White Oak. I've been with Gladewater ISD since July of 2016. Previously, I taught two years as the Assistant Director of Bands at Tenaha ISD where I received the "Floyd A. (Dock) Watson Superintendent Star Award" both years from my administration. I am a 2007 graduate of White Oak High School. I graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in 2009 from Kilgore College. In 2014, I graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education from East Texas Baptist University. While at ETBU, I served as President of the Kappa Phi chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity and performed regularly as a percussionist with the Marshall Symphony Orchestra. In addition to working at Gladewater ISD, I also serve as the Director of Music Ministries at Greggton Global Methodist Church in Longview, TX.
