Principal - Becky Lanham

I am a Gladewater native and a 1985 graduate of Gladewater High School. I started my teaching career in 2002 as the Print Shop teacher at  Gladewater High School after a long career in the Graphic Arts industry. While teaching, I completed my BAAS degree from UT Tyler with equal  emphasis in Human Resources and Technology.

In 2007, I moved to Nacogdoches and spent the next ten years working for NISD. While doing so, I completed my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. Beginning with the 2014 school year, I became a grade-level Assistant Principal and was charged with approximately 450 students a year, moving up with them from grade to grade.

In 2017, I returned home to Gladewater ISD to be an Assistant Principal at the High School. In 2021, I was named Associate Principal / Director of Curriculum at GHS. In May of 2022, I accepted the position as Principal of Gladewater Middle School.

I am proud to be a native of Gladewater, and I’m proud of this district and these kiddos. Gladewater ISD has been such a blessing in my life. As a   student here, there were teachers who helped shape my life in very meaningful ways. My goal is to be able to do the same thing in the lives of others.   I’m so happy to be able to do that in a place that I love, with the best faculty in East Texas.

Assistant Principal - Scott Mann

  • I am a Houston native and a 1997 graduate of Stephen F. Austin St. University with a Bachelor's of Science, in Kinesiology. I started my teaching career in 1997 as a P.E. teacher in Nacogdoches, TX. In 1999, I relocated to the Houston area and taught in the 4th largest district in the state of Texas at the time, Cypress Fairbanks ISD.

In 2008, family brought me back to East Texas where I took a job in Longview, with Pine Tree ISD. I taught everything from science, social studies and physical education. In 2010, I completed my Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. I took a job with Pine Tree ISD as their Director of Transportation, managing a fleet of over 60 vehicles and was under the direction of 40-50 employees.

In 2015, I made the choice to get back in the classroom and Gladewater ISD became the perfect place for me. I taught middle school Science and coached MS girls athletics. In 2021, I accepted the position of Assistant Principal, including coaching at Gladewater Middle School.

I am proud to be a Gladewater Bear and my hope is to be a positive influence on everyone that I come in contact with. My wife, Alycia and I have 5 children between the ages of 15 to 25 and 1 grandchild.
