As students at Broadway Elementary School enter the auditorium each morning, they are greeted with a smile from Holly Watson. She reads to the students until morning assembly begins. Holly has worked hard to build relationships with all of the students and they love her.
Sharon Steward had done an outstanding job of decorating Weldon Intermediate School for Christmas. The halls look great. Sharon has been a busy elf decorating before school, after school, and on the weekend. Her campus appreciates all her hard work.
Goals 3 & 5
Boyd McDaniel used his money to buy flowers and plants to fill the planters at Gladewater Middle School. Not only did he complete the planting but has maintained the plants through the fall. Boyd has greatly improved the appearance of the campus. In addition, Boyd also helped the GHS band get to one of the playoff games. When the charter bus broke down, Boyd came to the rescue while in route to the game. A GISD bus was taken to Boyd, the band was loaded onboard, and Boyd drove onward. Everyone arrived for halftime. Thanks to Matt McIntosh for helping with this great teamwork.
Austin Walker volunteered to ride the student pep bus to a playoff game as the onlychaperone for the Gladewater High School students. He loves the students and is always first to step up when a need arises. Austin has some pretty fancy dance moves too!
